BeerMenus is a product for craft beer drinkers to find the best brews in their area and for beer sellers to promote & market their menu. One of BeerMenus' most popular features for beer sellers is the ability to create print menus that automatically update when the user changes their menu using BeerMenus' enormous database. Having well designed print menu is shown to increase check sizes, but keeping an up-to-date menu is challenging. BeerMenus' print menu tool allows bars & breweries to update & print new menus with a few simple clicks.
As freelance product designer, I helped design & develop an improved UI for their Print Menu wizard. We wanted to give users a larger toolbox so that they could easily customize their menu.
I designed several new CSS themes for users based on common bar and restaurant aesthetics.
I also designed several examples with custom CSS to show potential customers how we can create a wide variety of menus with color for their business:
As bars and restaurants throughout the country re-opened during the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a huge need for touchless menus. We built a new tool that allowed users to generate a touchless menu and print QR codes with a single click.
BeerMenu's enormous database makes it extremely quick for businesses to input their menu items, complete with descriptions and beer metadata.
I designed the digital menu that users access by scanning the business' unique QR code. We made it easy for customers to browse the full menu, by listing all menu sections at the top of the page and including a sticky button that allows the user to quickly jump between sections.
I also designed two sticker options for users to print our their QR menus: one with detailed steps on how customers can scan the code, and second slim version.
I also designed several theme examples to show potential customers how we can create a custom menu based on the business' existing style guide.
